This is a photogaphic blog with a particular focus on walking the Spanish Caminos. Also included are walks in The New Forest, Wales and Southern England.
I've finally upgraded to a real camera. It's not an SLR but as compacts go it's one of the best. I have a digital SLR but because it's so bulky I never use it. The LX5 allows complete manual control and captures images at a much higher quality than I'm used to. I've been testing it this afternoon in our garden and it has far exceeded my expectations. This will certainly add an extra dimension to my treks, both here and on the Spanish Caminos.

We decided to experience some of the verdant tracks and drove roads of Wiltshire rather than the open heathland of the New Forest and it was a beautiful walk which exceeded expectations. Particularly since I said it would be about a 10 mile walk and it turned out to be over 15! Oops.
